1201 Description Background

In 1982 a group of California Dental Association members founded a company that offers products and services specifically for dentists, their families, staffs, and practices. Since then, 1201 has been offering innovative solutions to dental professionals every day.

1201 is a California Dental Association company. They are a financial and insurance organization that places an emphasis on personal service and quality products for CDA members.

The November 2003 CDA House of Delegates approved a reorganization of the 1201 and TDIC Boards of Directors, and directed that one president/CEO serve both companies. On January 1, 2004, a new organization structure was implemented. The new structure features centers of excellence that will concentrate on 1201’s ability to support CDA members. Each center of excellence will be guided by a management leader who will focus on breaking down barriers and instilling mutual commitment in our staff colleagues to be one organization with a common sense of purpose – serving and supporting CDA members.
